I will try to get some pictures of the lights without the dogs pulling on my arms. I might drive out to Rainbow Acres tonight and look at Christmas lights as I was told it is really pretty out there.
I was sitting in the passenger side of the motor home last night watching the Christmas lights the neighbor had just turned on when another neighbor called me on my phone. When I tried to answer I could not get anyone to answer me, it finally disconnected and then turned around and rang again. It was him again and still no answer. I thought my phone was screwed up and I had hit some button I should not have like I do once in a while. The phone disconnected again. All of a sudden I hear my daughter’s voice, she sounds fine and she can hear me. Now I am worried as to why I can hear her and not Ed. I decide I had better go check on him.
I go over there and knock and he opens the door. He said “all I wanted was to tell you the neighbor put a great light display up and I wanted to make sure you saw it.” He said he has on star in his pickup and had the pickup running to charge the battery so when he tried to call it activated his on-star and he could not use his portable phone.
I was really glad he was ok and we had a good laugh over it. All this fancy tech stuff is so cool when it is doing what you want and such a pain when it doesn’t work the way you think it should..lol
Got the laundry all done, they have great big washers that you can put a ton of stuff in and the same with the driers. We started 3 washers and was done with our laundry for the month, man that thing holds a lot but it also costs $4.50 for each load and the small machine is $1.75. It was worth it to get done so fast and I think the big one holds about 4 times more then the small regular washer.
Going to check into moving to Salome today, since that lot by RaeEllen has not rented maybe he will rent it to us for a month or two. Salome is a neat little town and it is sure filling up fast here. We decided we would drive here to go to the sales in the middle of January and February.
We found out for mom to sell her paintings we have to have a state identification number for taxes and a bunch of local permits plus pay at least $180.00 a month for small 10’ section or 970.00 a month for the motor home spot. We only have about 12 paintings with us so it just isn’t work it. We might put some in the art and craft shows in Salome depending on if we can get that state licenses. We learned a lot this year so maybe next year we will know what we are doing and have time to get it done.
Now we have the Jeep we want to run up to Prescott and Sedona so we still have plenty to keep us busy.
It got cold again last night and a heavy dew. The dogs were up bright and early, well early not bright yet, they were wanting outside before the sun came up. Blast it is cold that early, warms up fast once the sun is up and cools down fast once the sun disappears.
Have a great day everyone and be safe.
