Off to Surprise

Yesterday was a long day. Went to the dump, took mom to art club in Hope. She really enjoyed it and everyone was amazed by her paintings but then she does amazing work. They told her how to have her Gicee (sp) prints made for sales and which sales were coming up and how to sign up to go. She is going to another one in Bouse Monday and again to Hope Tuesday.  I stayed with her for about 1/2 hr then I took off to Harcauver to get some metal statues for a friend. He saw them on my pictures I posted and wanted some. Took pictures and went back and got mom.

I called and my friend wanted two metal arts of the ants and wheelbarrows, (I will post pictures later). She does not have a web page nor will she ship as she does not have the time to load them up and drive to town as she is the only one at the store. She has to lock up the store to go mail, anyway I told him I would haul them home for him but he would have to wait until last of Feb. or March. I went back to get them as I was afraid that they would sale and I was lucky as she only had two left and that is what he wanted. I bought them and put them in the Jeep and headed for Surprise which is about 90 miles away to get moms art stuff she needed.

Surprise is a BIG town, they have everything you could imagine. We went to Michaels and got mom's stuff, went to Petsmart and got Paco a new collar, went to Barnes and Noble and got a book cover for my nook, Safeway and got groceries and then back to Salome without the air cleaner I was going to get and forgot about.

We had lunch in Wickenburg on the way down at Long John Silvers and it was greasy and the fish and shrimp tasted old so we won't be going back there again. They also forgot our cole slaw and our tarter sauce and napkins. I was not impressed at all.

We were headed back to about Aguilla and found a message from my friend inviting us to supper. WOW, talk about timing, got her just in time to have a nice meal already prepared for us. It was perfect as we were really tired after a very full day.

We did not go on the Jeep tour this morning after two days of all day long in the Jeep we decided to stay home. I will probably regret it.

Tom brought over a rake I wanted to borrow this morning and he had his dog and ball thrower and Hank was in heaven as Tom threw it for him. He started to go home with Tom, he thinks he is Tom's dog now and did not even want to mind me. Hank is always so good but not today, he had eyes only for Tom and that ball...lol
So much for me bragging about how good Hank always is. Kids and animals always make a liar out of you but Hank has a friend for life now.

Off to work in the yard for a little while. We have been collecting rocks on our trips a few at a time to fix up the yard.

Have a great day and God Bless all of you
