Roadrunner info

I did not realize that roadrunners were one of a rattlesnakes enemies. They say they eat the snake whole and since it won't all fit they run around with the snake hanging from their mouths until enough digests to get some more in....yuck!  Their diet is almost all animals but during winter when animals and insects aren't around as much   10% of their diet might be vegetable.  They sometimes freeze if the winter is to cold.

The roadrunner weighs between 8 & 24 ozs, 20 to 24" long and 10 to 12" high. They can only fly for a few seconds but can run 17 miles per hour. They are so quick they can snatch a hummingbird or dragonfly midair.

They had better not get my little hummingbird I saw...lol

See all you teachers you will be happy I am learning. After I saw him run so fast I had to look up on the internet all about him.  I really thought he was cute and now I want to see another one and get some better pictures of him.
