My friend RaeEllen made me stew and cookies last night. No cooking supper, a fun desert and no mess to clean up. Everyone should have a neighbor like her. She has been a God send during my sewer mess and has taken care of everything for me. Tom has helped with me knowing what to do and comes over and oversees what is going on where we know what to do. Tom and I have spent a lot of time watching the other Tom and Dave work so I finally dug out the lawn chairs for us to supervise from.
Tom had a rotten day yesterday but he turned it into a adventure. He had a flat tire out on the back road and his jack was not all there so RaeEllen and I got some tools from her uncle and went out and changed the tire. They (the tire store) did their usual of putting the lug nuts on so tight that even with W-D40 it was hard for Tom to get off. You could see the muscle straining in his arms clear down through his legs. I could not even get it to move by standing on it. I wish they would not put them on so tight.
Dave from Salome Handyman is great! He has done work for RaeEllen & Tom and Steve also recommended him. He dropped everything to try and get my sewer up and running, even working after dark. He did a good guess on where the tank was so that saved us the locator fees and then they actually dug right where the cap was at both times which saved a lot of time which is money. So if you are ever in Salome, Az and need a handyman be sure and give him a call. He is fair priced and a hard worker.
River Septic out of Parker, Az were also great. They charge the same as the one that is a lot closer and they sent a truck right out the next morning and a lot more friendly then the other service was. I look forward to all the parts getting in and getting it all up and going. Today though I am unhooking and going to fill with propane and dump the motorhome in the other spot here and then I can last until everything is up and running great.
Off for my adventure in the sewer saga. Have a great day
